In this course, students will increase their knowledge of chords and scales and begin looking at the melodic and harmonic relationships found in many styles of music.

Length: 12 Weeks
Time: 1/2 Hour Per Week
Format: Private Instruction
Pre-Requisite: Music Theory 1 (Waiver available upon consultation with director)
Upon completion of this course, you will have learned how to:
- Identify & construct seventh chords with tensions
- Analyze & compose melodies
- Identify & construct basic chord progressions in all keys
- Add chromatic materials and modulations to basic chord progressions in order to add interest and variety
- Identify common song forms
- Construct compound intervals
